The product
Bloedbessen are not only delicious, but most of all very healthy. You can best store the berries unwashed in the fridge. Depending on the time of year, the berries stay good for about a week, provided that they're covered, undamaged and dry. The best storage temperature is between 1-4ÂșC.
Sale and availability
The sale of Bloedbessen takes place exclusively by means of the Koninklijke Fruitmasters auction clock in Geldermalsen. Here wholesalers and exporters buy the products through a bidding system and take care of the further distribution to the end users: hotels, restaurants and catering and vegetable specialists both nationally and internationally.

Flowpack
Since 2004 the Bloedbessen have also been delivered in Flowpack. The Flowpack is an MA-packaging, which stands for Modified Atmosphere. The protective atmosphere helps quality and shelf life. Besides the increased shelf life, this method of packaging also has other advantages. This packaging includes a barcode, a packaging date and a sell-by date. Moreover this type of packaging guarantees optimum protection of the berries against damage.

We aim for a latest sell-by date of 14 days after the packaging date. After these 14 days the berries should still be in good condition. However, in order to guarantee quality, the berries can no longer be sold after this date with the foil around the box. It is advised to keep the Bloedbessen at a stable and low temperature (1-4?C).
